The film delves into the topic of sex education in the country and is both written and directed by Amit Rai. Serving as a spiritual sequel to the 2012 film OMG – Oh My God!, OMG 2 features renowned actors Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, and Yami Gautam Dhar in leading roles.

Upon its theatrical release on 11 August 2023, the film received favorable reviews from critics. It has achieved significant commercial success, grossing over ₹220.49 crore (equivalent to US$28 million) worldwide. This accomplishment positions OMG 2 as the seventh highest-grossing Hindi film of the year 2023.

The film commences with a depiction of unclothed Naga Sadhus and other devotees making their way to the Mahakaal Temple for the early morning "Bhasm Aarti" ritual dedicated to Lord Mahakaal. Among the devotees is Kanti Sharan Mudgal (portrayed by Pankaj Tripathi), a devout follower of Lord Shiva who operates a shop adjacent to the temple. While there, he discovers an unidentified bag and decides to retain it temporarily in order to return it later. One day, Kanti receives a distressing call from the hospital, informing him that his son Vivek (played by Aarush Varma) has been brought in by a friend. The attending doctor (portrayed by Brijendra Kala) informs Kanti that Vivek had engaged in continuous masturbation throughout the night, resulting in his collapse, as well as the consumption of multiple Viagra tablets. Concerned, Kanti initially prepares to reprimand his son, but the doctor advises him to handle the situation with sensitivity, as young individuals often experience guilt and shame regarding masturbation. Later, Kanti inquires about the incident from Vivek's friend, who reveals that Vivek had been subjected to bullying and false claims by some peers, asserting that his penis size was inadequate and that masturbation would enhance it. Consequently, Vivek began to believe these assertions and engaged in excessive masturbation. When he sought answers from his biology teacher at school, he was met with refusal to address such matters, leading him to seek dubious individuals on the streets for medications and substances purported to enhance his size. This ordeal left Vivek feeling self-conscious, insecure, and ultimately led to his collapse due to excessive masturbation.

Kanti endeavours to exhibit a gentle and compassionate demeanor towards Vivek until they are summoned to the office of the school Chairman the following day. They are informed that a video of Vivek engaging in masturbation in the school washroom has been circulating, which is detrimental to the school's reputation. Consequently, Vivek is expelled from the school on the grounds of obscenity. Pandey Ji, Kanti's intimate friend and a wealthy priest at the Mahakaal Temple, advises Kanti to depart from the town and sever ties with Vivek to avoid tarnishing his religious image.

The video eventually reaches Kanti's wife, daughter, and their entire community, resulting in their being subjected to public shame.

Devastated, Kanti implores Lord Shiva for assistance for his family. A divine power is activated in the Mahakaal temple, and a messenger dispatched by Lord Shiva (Akshay Kumar) emerges from the river.

Following a police complaint against Vivek for attempting to murder his tormentor, the messenger encounters Vivek and Kanti at the police station, claiming to be there to report a missing bag. He overhears the conversation as everyone is berating Vivek and comforts him in his distress. He pats his head and assures him that "Lord Mahakaal has his hand on him." As he departs from the police station, a decorated white bull follows him, symbolizing Nandi.

Vivek attempts suicide twice, but the messenger intervenes and saves him. He meets Kanti at the railway station as they are about to depart from the town and informs him that his son did nothing wrong by citing the example of a breastfeeding mother to demonstrate that not everything done in private is wrong or obscene. He asserts that Vivek's actions within the school are also the school's fault for failing to educate him adequately and Kanti's fault for not teaching him about such matters properly. He advises Kanti to file a lawsuit against the school and medical practitioners. Kanti listens, apologizes to a slumbering Vivek, and cancels their plan to leave town.
